What is Arrhythmia?
In its broadest sense arrhythmias are various types of irregular heartbeat. These types of irregularities, called fibrillation, can be caused by mix-ups in the electrical signals that control the heart muscles, damage to the heart from heart disease, high blood pressure, or other problems. Sometimes, if the condition is mild, these fibrillations are not noticeable but, more often, individuals suffering from arrhythmia feel an irregular thumping or racing of the heart.
